2017 is Interlinkx CiC & CC Hackney's tenth year.

Due to Covid 19 virus all club face to face activities are suspended until further notice. Please check CC Hackney's website for news updates and how to stay in touch during this period.

The news in 2020 is that Interlinkx has been
converted from a community interest company
into a charitable incorporated organisation under the terms of the Charitable Incorporated Organisations (Conversion) Regulations. In the process of conversion, the organisation has changed its name to Cycling Club Hackney CIO. Meanwhile, the community amateur sports club called Cycling Club Hackney has been wound up and has gifted its assets to CC Hackney CiO

Interlinx CiC, was responsible for CC Hackney'sHQ/house and home as well as leading on fund raising
& community outreach. In 2017 was the ten year anniversary since founding in 2007. Our partner organisation
(CC Hackney) came into being later in the same year.

New Centre new storage solution

On the way down Well Street
Yesterday (Tuesday 25th April) ICiC & CCH took delivery of refurbished 40 foot shipping container from the Budget Container Co. It is to serve as a bike and equipment store for the Elsdale Centre's on going cycling delivery programme. This week we are moving out of Nightingale Estate after a 10 year residency, the old 70s concrete, condemned building is finally coming down as part of the wider regeneration project going on there. We'd like to thank our main supporter and partner Hackney Council Housing for setting us up in our replacement base and office.

New base for Interlinkx CiC and CC Hackney

Time at Nightingale Estate & Olympus Square is just about up, we're set and ready to move on. As director of ICiC I signed a legal document with Hackney Council (our main sponsor and enduring partner) for a new home for us at the Elsdale Community Centre E9. This is a long term arrangement and we will be moving to this space this week. Both organisations (Interlinkx CiC & CC Hackney) will accommodate and run sessions that effectively outreach the neighbourhood and serve those that would otherwise not access quality cycling in the Borough of Hackney. Delivery here will be happening as an on going commitment that is in line with our main sponsor's informed policy and the general headline view 'Hackney: a Place for Everyone'

Working from here will be a significant change for the better, we have the potential to make a positive and lasting impact at the ECC. Unlike Olympus Square, this building is not condemned for demolition; we could be here happily ever after!

I'd like to thank everyone who has helped and supported us so far (10 years) and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do for those that like cycles and cycling from our next home.

Below is a time line regarding this move:
The last session from 6 Olympus Sq: 15.04.17

Saturday youth group sessions start at ECC: 06.05.17
1. Outreach & beginners introduction session 10.00h - 12.00h (Keir & Zemi)
2. Established and experienced session 09.00h - 11.00h (Neil, Prosper & Harry)

CCH & ICiC's Elsdale Community Centre launch party TBC : 20.05.17 (6-10pm)
